    A few from October

The last is a Wood Sandpiper and it's a rare vagrant in Australia that turned up at the local wetlands two weeks back. Still there today.
    Cheers and hope you enjoy.

So two of these birds turned up at Putta Bucca Wetlands at Mudgee N.S.W.
As you probably know it is a wonderful species to ad to the list for the wetlands. A rare find.

We obviously get different species in Tasmania and I've not seen that one here.
I've recently photographed the 'Common Sandpiper' at Devonport and was told that was a rare sighting for this area too.

Common Sandpiper is not so common in Oz and especially down your way. Indeed a rare sighting I'd think.
Not sure how long ago you got the photo but interesting sightings like this are worth reporting so others can go and see. Report here ... http://www.eremaea.com/BirdlineRecen...spx?Birdline=3
As you can see there's birds turning up out of their range.

Thanks, the shot was taken in October 2019. The link isn't working for me at the moment.
