Nice tones in a difficult environment, do you do any digital work?

Re: Rock Church (Piazza Vittorio Veneto) - Matera, Italy 2019

Thank you. Yes, it was a difficult setting .... I was fortunate to have sun light reflecting onto the center columns from a building across the plaza. A good deal of patience was also required to wait for tour groups to clear the area. I spent nearly 2 hours in this location to obtain 6 exposures free of pedestrians. Ordinarily I would not make that many exposures of any scene, but this one seemed worth the investment, and being shaded, it was also a good place to escape the heat of the day. No, I do not do any digital work. I use an iPhone to preview some scenes, but that and scanning images for posting to my website and selected forums is the extent of my involvement with digital imaging. I appreciate the merits of digital capture and some of my favorite contemporary photographers work with digital cameras, but I have chosen to stick with film and do not see myself changing over as others have done. I am not one of those who is concerned about the disappearance of film. When the invention of photography was announced to the world from Paris in 1839, people said painting was dead, yet we still have paint today, so I think we will continue to have film for some time to come, although I anticipate that the selections will continue to shrink and that the prices for what remains will continue to rise. If film should disappear, I will spend the remainder of my time in photography printing images, by alternative methods such as platinum or carbon if necessary, from a great store of negatives I have made over a period of nearly 40 years but have never printed.

Great to hear, I processed my own black and white prints and slide film prior to digital but haven't looked back.
Are you scanning the negatives to upload here or the prints?

I'm scanning prints using an Epson V700 and Silverfast 8 software.
