    It will be just fine.

Practice and find out what it does well and what it does not. Then post up a few shots that haven't worked so well and with the settings you used. Some-one here will be able to help.

the camera brand or design means very little in the real world of photography. Photography is more about the light, the quality of that light, and the shadows from the light. Learn to see those and you will be off on your photography journey.

Now; don't rush off and buy adobe/photoshop

I think what he means is don't think adobe is going to fix fundamental mistakes. That kit will do you for a year or two while you figure things out.

No; not really ----Adobe is still the leader of the pack; but others are catching up so there are many more choices than adobe/photoshop these days. Adobe Elements may still be a good start. Affinity photo is becoming very popular with those jumping off the adobe Ps ship.
On1 is Ok as a filing/organizer/editor although I stopped using it.
    Some are moving to ACDsee

I would be totally lost without my old lightroom 5.7 for organizing / first edit; but sadly Adobe have Lr on subscription only now
