It's certainly a challenge and only a short window of opportunity. I'm pretty satisfied with this effort so I won't feel too sad if I don't catch them again.

Awwww geeeeeeez, now you've done it. I've got Weddings Parties Anything's song "Lights of Devonport" as an ear worm now.

    Thanks.

Are these bio-luminescent or is it post production?

Bio-luminescent quite dim.. about a 30 second exposure at ISO 8000, F4. Can just make them out as long as there’s not too much ambient light. No moonlight preferred.

    Wow. Pretty cool.

I've struck different bio-luminescence before mostly on night dives and once where several kilometres of shoreline were aglow. I didn't realise that fungi also did it.

Must search out if any around here do it.

    Cheers
