    Gibson steps

    This photo was taken a couple year ago. Initially I discarded it as I thought it was a little too dark. What do you think?

    Agree probably too dark. Could maybe work as a B&W.

    I don't mind it, in fact I think I like it. it has a certain mood about it.

    This is a brighter one but I actually prefer the darker moody one.

    Nope the first one for me still I like the mood it set and like it more after seeing a brighter shot. The added light adds nothing for me personally, you know what the rock would look like if it were brighter or at least have good idea and make it up for yourself without seeing it. The bright shot has lost the mood completely. Just my 2 cents.

    OK I'm going to say I like a combination of both. I like the colour on the water in #2 but the darker rocks in #1. Could use a brush tool and get this effect I guess.

    Yeah, I find the brighter one doesn't have the wow factor.

    Good idea Toddyh, I might try to composite water from the 2nd image and see how it looks.
