    Canon 24-70 f2.8 V1 vs V2

    Hey guys,

Apologies if this has been asked to death. I tried to search but couldnít find anything.

Iím switching back to Canon from Pentax and looking at a 24-70 f2.8 to compliment the 6DmkII body. Iíll be buying used due to funds.

My question - is there that much of a difference that makes purchasing the mkII worth the extra $, or will the mkI still a damn good lens?

    Thanks!

Have no idea, but I doubt the ordinary punter could tell the difference.

as greg said -- I really have no idea why you want or need a bulky and expensive full frame camera these days unless you intend to print mtr + long photos every week
The best thing I ever did for my photography was to throw away the ff camera

Thanks guys. I might stick with version 1 then and save the extra cash.

V2 is nicer, but buy to your budget. unless your're sold on selling the images, hard to justify more cash on essentially the same thing. check out some reviews/ online comparisons to see if there are any flaws in the V1 that have you worried and you couldn't work around.

Thanks. Iíve looked at a fair bit of stuff and I donít think itís worth it for me. Plus little things like more metal in the construction (filter rings etc) will be better suited to my needs.
