    Dirty Sensor?

    Hi,

I got a SonyA5000 given to me by my Son.

I'm getting a lot of smudge like marks in all me photos. From what you can see, dose it look like a dirty sensor?

Day Time Temps ... 23 degrees Celsius

Not quite as bad as the top one. Perhaps temperature has something to do with it?

Yes Dave ... it's a sensor issue. Best to use Google.

I have received the APS-C cleaning kit from China - or was it Hong Kong? hmmmm ... nevertheless I will see how it goes tomorrow and do a test shot to compare with the above. OOOOOO I am SOOOO excited.

    Re: Dirty Sensor?

When I feel like waking up early enough, I'll test with a sunrise under cooler conditions. It's quite humid where I live. I'm starting to see the relationship between moisture build up, drying out, changing environment and day time temps. That first image was quite alarming however later under higher temps in a dryer environment the dirty sensor is not as evident.

This test shot was in the later part of the day ... Temperate a bit warm ... a morning sun rise will make for a better test. Nevertheless I can see better results since before cleaning compared to last blue sky shot.

Not a great lens or photographer, I but I am very happy with the results of the clean. Not spots or blemishes showing up at all now. Touch Wood.
