    Erskine Falls

    This is a shot of Erskine Falls lower cascades Victoria. It's my first time photographing waterfalls/rivers, what do you guys think? Please spill out your thoughts

    I like it..

    My only suggestion, would be to use a faster shutter sped to record any turbulence that would be in the water.
    To me, the water is too "smoothed" and doesn't look real.

    Good job for a first time, though..

    Thanks! Appreciate your thoughts. Problem is I only have a 10 stop currently and didn't want to lower the aperture anymore. I'll take that into account and possibly get a 5stop as well

    Your exposure and depth is spot on. My only other comment would have been to include a bit more of the foreground.

    To do that you would have needed to be a little further back and/or perhaps used a portrait format or stitched two images (which is quite difficult to get right). That's for you to consider next time as you can't do much about that now.

    The flowing water is a feature of the shot and I'd just like to see a bit more of it.

    thanks for thr comments! i hope to get another opportunity to shoot some waterfalls (difficult for a school student without a driving license), and will keep those in mind.
