Hi all, beginner photographer here. I'm thinking of buying an RX100, and have noticed that the previous models (e.g. RX100 III) are significantly cheaper than the current model (the RX100 V). I'm mostly using it for still photography, so don't care that much about video functions. Keeping that in mind, is it worth shelling out the extra for the current model? Any help/ opinions massively appreciated!

I wouldn't.. the early models are great little cameras.

I have the mk2 and mk4 but not mk5. I believe the last 3 have the same lens which I find a little less sharp than the earlier version but it is better in other respects. I wouldn't shell out for the 5, I can't see any real advantage.
