Crossing the road is an aquired technique. With 100 motorbikes rushing by a second you realy cant wait for a clear road and pedestrian crossings are just to give a false sense of security. The techinique is to walk acros the road and keep walking. if you stop you'll confuse the traffic who would othersise weave around you and your more lkely to get hit. So you dont cross the read you weave your way across. At least the speed limit is only 30 kph. Booked a trip to Halong Bay around ...
Bus from Laos to Vietnam told to be at the Indian restaurant at 6.30 am Instead of staying on the bus to Hanoi got of at at Tham Hoa in Vietnam and then got a Taxi to Sam Son a place that raely sees a westerner so got hassled to the max by touts etc , its the seaside resort for vietnamese.
