hi everyone
i have been using a place called 'photo mounts' for all my wedding albums. i just used to do flush mount albums .. the couple picked out pictures and thats what went into the album. pretty simple but really nice.

i have since found another place called 'timeless albums'. i have used them once to make a studio album, and i have seen alot of their work as another photographer i know uses them. they are brilliant ..

i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i would go about suggesting the different album designs?

i dont want to show them the website where you pick your albu, designs from otherwise they can log on and see how much it is to make an album etc and if i print out from the website it has the company name on it. i dont want to give away all my secrets haha.

so how would you show them the different design so they can choose and be happy with their album so they dont get their album back and not like the design i have chosen for them.

i have thought about just making a few more display albums but that would cos a bit really .. so any other suggestions would be great!

thanks guys :)

Sample albums unfortunately would be the best, but costly option. Does timeless do discounts for studio albums? Maybe you could negotiate something

As a potential client I would be happy seeing just 1 sample of each type so I could gauge the quality but some clients may be more picky :(

I would contact Timeless Albums and see if they have a specific page for Pro Photographers, I know a couple of IT places that allow you to link to their page but display your own pricing.

Failing that, ask if you can use some of their images for your own website / printouts....

I asked another album supplier if it was possible to get JPEG's of albums I was planning to offer and the person is more than happy to give them to me to help promote this side of my business - I would suggest asking - they can only say no but they might say yes.

I just said that I was considering using her albums and that my intention was to purchase 2 albums that I think would be my best sellers as a display album to start with but I would also like to offer other albums and whether it would be possible to get jpegs of the other albums I was interested in to put on my website / in flyers to show to potential clients. She said that wasn't a problem - why not more sales for you = more sales for them.
