Easily done in editing software. If you are using PS you just need to add another layer and superimpose your text over the top of it.
For more advanced users you can create a brush of your signature/logo and use the preset brush to add it to your finished image.
Or, you could just create a small file in PS or equivalent and save it. When the time comes to add it to your image, just open and copy it across, resize and save.
If you have any more questions on this just ask. I am sure that someone else here might have another way or ways to do this, but these are just a couple to give you an idea. If you need more in depth instructions, just yell out.

I have never used elements, but I think that if you create your name and save it as a jpg you should then be able to either import it somehow or open it and copy it into the program to overlay onto your shot. The idea then it to adjust the opacity of it so that it is washed out against your image rather than full strength.
Can be done on Eleiments 5. open new doc>type in name>crop it>edit>define brush. Not as easy as it sounds here; but this should get you started. When you get the brush made you stamp your photos by using the brush tool. Fiddle around and see how you go.
