I prefer #1 I think, but maybe dull the brown of the table and run a high pass filter over the book & the cloth [if that is a cloth over the glass]

I prefer the second one with the selective colouring. I think it draws your eye to the important aspects of the shot - they could be sitting on any old table. I'm not sure about the cloth over the glass as I don't actually know what purpose this serves although I'm sure I would understand if it was my wedding or a wedding I was at.

The colour is also good but if I was choosing which photo I preferred I would go for the second one. If I was choosing for a client I would offer them both and let them decide which one they prefer the best (that would go for your son and his wife as well).

Hokeydokes :), bit of an explanation required me thinks..The cloth in question is what joins the two "Steffanna" as they are known in Greek and what unites the Bride n Groom during the wedding ceremony..
Attatched Pic of the Best man (Coumbaro)who has to cross or change them between Bride n groomthree time during his part of theceremony>
They are sitting comfortably under the Good book on the said table till the Priest does his part :0..
For those that have attended a Greek Wedding ye will know what i'm on about otherwise will take me so long to explain and i'll propably get it all ace about in the end lol...
Here's the Pic for yez, enjoy...
