Hi, I'm a new member here, i thought i would post some shots to get a little feedback.
These were taken at last years "Festival Of Italian Motorcycles"
This first shot is of a glorious MV Agusta.
Then a couple of Ducati's
All shots were hand held as i rode there myself, it was a very hot, bright day shots were taken around 11am.
I look forward to your comments.

G'day Steve and welcome to the forum.
You've taken some nice shots here, especially considering the conditions.
Look forward to seeing more shots from you.

Nice shots mate, i particularly like the second one.
The only c&c i have is that they look like they could do with a bit of a contrast boost, although that could just be the resizing for the forum.

Thanks guys,
I use a SIGMA SD10, it only shoots RAW then Sigma have an application called "Sigma Photo Pro" that allows you to manipulate a lot of parameters.
The day was stinking hot and very bright, the event was held in the forecourt of the Melbourne Exhibition Building and IMAX. Acres of bright reflective concrete.
The White balance is something i want to experiment with, but i dont think the application has a manual option, i'll have to have a look. All i've seen are the standard, shade, overcast etc.
As it looks like both of you are into bikes :) I have a question about composition.
Here is a picture of my bike. It is a Bimota SB6. I want to get some interesting images, but due to its colour, i'm having difficulties thinking about how to shoot it. Excuse the water leak :o i had just put the bike back together and took the opportunity to fill the radiator, it is hidden deep down in the fairing and requires the whole front half of the bike to be disassembled!! Italian engineering
I have also included a photo of her undressed, just though you might be interested, this shows the other side of Italian engineering :D
I was thinking a night shot with lots of street lights, and use the reflections for interest, any ideas would be welcome.

Nice bike Steve.
A night shoot would look great, but can't help wondering if the bike (being black) would get 'lost' a bit with the surrounds? Although if you have it in an area near a street light therefore the surrounds will be a yellow-ish colour and might help the bike stand out more. You could get some nice reflections off the body with other lights (cars going by, street lights, flashes) but you might not want it to look too 'busy'.
Just my 2c :D
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Sweeeeeet bike mate.
I always wondered why someone would pay so much for a Ducati or Yamaha engine in different frame and bodywork, then i actually seen one in the flesh, and i understood!!!! They really are a piece of artwork.
As far as a shot of your bike goes, that's a tricky one. Craig has a MT-01, and i really want to take a picture of it on the docks with an overcast sky, and maybe some vignetting, to give it a real moody look. That may work for your bike?
Nice ride! :)
Last year when I bought my camera, did a shoot with a friend of a black/silver CBR1000RR (http://www.flickr.com/photos/16948761@N03/2086916776/) I thought it turned out alright (except for the blurriness with the wind :P), might be something you're after?

Nice shot Lac,
As the bike is so dark, i was thinking along those lines, i want it to be 1 element in the shot, but i think there needs to be a counterpoint.
In my minds eye i was thinking of something that feels like yours, but probably closer to the secondary light source. I need to find somewhere in Melbourne with bright neon lights, where i can park the bike with some interesting architecture.
Thanks for the input and the great shot.
