Something different from me.. I'm starting to really enjoy the 17-85mm IS USM now..
I've been testing a few different ideas latley, not to mention struggling to take a sharp photo.
I don't condone graffiti but I think some of the artists really have tallent and should be doing something constructive with their time..
Anyway I liked the look of this.

I do like the look through the fence. How hard would it be to the same shot minus the barbed wire?

It's a great graffito Craigus - as you know, I love it and will be adding more images to my collection very soon.

Hi Craigus
I have the same lens on my 20D and have had more than a few problems with getting focus I think it's the multi focus paterns that have caused me problems...so I switch sometimes to a single point using the toggle ...what do you think?

I've done so much research on this lens I dream of it at night I'm afraid.. I've managed to narrow it down to three things.
1) Always set your focus to the center point.
2) Always shoot between f/8 and f/16 This lens sufferes seriosly from 'f/stop diffusion'
3) When you can ALWAYS use manual focus. The USM AF isn't really reliable in low or average light situations.
I have taken a series of photos of the same subject from f/4 all the way to f/22 and this lens is very noticeably clearer from f/8 though to f/16. You can read more about this problem HERE (http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/50-comparison/f-stops.htm) Now I know alot of people have no respect for Ken Rockwell but I urge you to read this article with an open mind putting aside any bias you may have.
My images have improved 100% since taking some of his advice.
Cheers.
Have you got any URL's to tests on that specific lens?

I have the test images locally but nothing on the web I'm afraid. Just test it your self.
Cheers.
