I walked into this church from the golden heat of the day and was plunged immediatly into a large volume of intense cold blue light. I took the photo with a small point and shoot camera and for ages did not think that I had acheived the intensity of the blue as the prints that had been processed commercially did not show it- They had been adjusted to lighten the shadow areas. After I bought a negative scanner I looked at the negs. of this trip.

This is exactly as the negative was! Can you feel the cool light?

earthseasky, Yasso and Snowyal- Thankyou, I am glad you like it. I never know if something is as pleasuralbe for others as it is for me till I ask! I supppose this is why we associate together! I have a couple of others taken in the same church that I could share some time.

Magnificent Murielle ... what an inspired work of art it is, I mean both your image and the stained glass window. Today I was in St Davids Cathedral and when I went to shoot some pictures discovered that my batts were flat ...Grrr!

how frustrating for you! Those windows formed the walls on 3 sdies of a huge cathedral and all were of blue glass. There was just enough of other support to hold the roof which was fairly low in comparison to the extent of the room.
