I was a guest at my cousin in law's wedding on Sunday (Father's Day) and took a few photos, 26 of which I was quite pleased with (one of which will not impress the bride, but she will see the funny side of it). I thought I would share a few to get some opinions on my PP of them. Basically I have just adjusted exposure and saturation in Photoshop's RAW converter and then added my border (she knows why I put the border on them - as do all of you)

Arriving at the "alter" (garden weddings don't have an alter but what else could I call it?)

During the ceremony - Cropped and I DID do a lighting effect on this one, but that was to cover up the mum of the bride's arm ;)

OK, I better stop LOL

Please tell me what you all think

Mel, you are brave, I admire anyone who shoots a wedding!! It is hard if you are not the hired photographer front and centre at the wedding. It also looks like the light was difficult that day. Maybe just a bit too much sky in a couple but the Bride and Groom look great, nice one.

Its funny you say that, in most cases he stayed out of my way! I offered to move for him a couple of times and he indicated that it was fine (even though you could see he wanted to be in the spot I was in) I can only assume that he figured the bride and groom would get a fairly decent shot from the angle he was after anyway.

Yeah, the light was kind of difficult, half overcast, half sunny. Not easy in manual mode having to flick around your aperture and ISO through a ceremony, good thing I know my way around my camera now LOL Also, I was right up the front with only my 50mm and couldn't move back any further with all the people crowded around me (I was sitting on the ground!) so, the sky was my frame rather than the trees and the bridal party.

Hi Mel,

Do you mind if I alter and repost some of the images? You have some great images but some I feel have colour casts and minor exposure issues
