I am David, i am an Computer Analyst/Programmer and I am totally new to digital photography.

I recently bought myself a Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens kit, and this is going to be my new hobby.

Hi David,

It's a great hobby to take up. I usually get sick of the same crappy old photos of my family where everyone has those fake smiles. The great thing about learning how to take photos is that you can look back on family gatherings without falling asleep.

Nikon make some great cameras. Even though I use Canon, I can still respect Nikon users (with difficulty! :P).

Looking forward to seeing some photos in the future.
