New photographer. Hello!

Hey guys,
I've recently just got into photography, I bought myself a 300D, Battery grip, 2 batteries, 512mb CF, the kit 18-55mm lense and a whole bunch of other goodies for $420 the other week.

Im now just starting out taking photographs of household items, pets, flowers ect trying to get a grasp of the camera. (which is happening, mind you).

Anyways im a 20year old electrical apprentice with a new found passion for this creative art, and I hope i can learn something from you guys.

I have found that being active on sites like this also helps to improve your photography, not only do you get useful tips on how to improve your work but also to see what other people do and how they achieve certain things.
