NightClub - 888 Event

Took some shots for a promoter friend of mine. He's just starting out so I lent a hand. Event went well by the way. Hehe...although abit..umm...asian. :D

I'm not sure if the color is right. Dragonfly can you help as you mentioned you have a properly calibrated monitor. Think I need sumthing better then a 15 inch Vaio with brightness on max.

Hey Pixel,

Your photos look real good even though uploading may have decreased quality. Is this the Aug 9 photog gig you mentioned to me in one of your pms?? Anyway Well Done.

I have just noticed that you have a similar setup to mine. Except I have a 400D and 420ex instead of your 450D and 430ex. Im curious as to what your settings were for the night. I like how the background is well lit. What angle is your flash pointing at?? ISO 200??

On my properly callibrated monitor #'s 1, 4, 5 and 6 have a touch too much red in them (I realise that there is a red light above the subject in these images though). Other than that, colours look spot on to me.

Melvin - Yea mate. This is for the event on the 8th Aug 08 (888 hehe) I invied you to come along but didnt hear from you.
The pix look really pixellated tho. hmmm.
As for the background, I cheated...just found places that was lit up better. Haha. Certain spots in the club was much better and was easier to get a shot.
Flash was normally straight up (low ceiling) or 75 degrees. Dialled down abit. ISO mainly at 800. f/4 - f/8. shutter 1/4 - 1/60

On a side note...Is Anonymous Productions (the watermark) a website or something?? I tried googling it but nothing. I would like to look at the other photos you took.

d-zire...interesting....had a look on m work comp...doesnt seem to bad...but bad enough i suppose...my vaio sucks lol
