Hi,

Thought I would drop a quick hello.

I have wanted to learn about photography for a long time and have always regretted not taking it as a subject when I was in school.

I am about to buy my first DSLR and am prepared for the learning curve but more importantly can't wait to start capturing different images in quality.

No doub't as I learn I will have questions, so please be patient with me...

Just have to get the Camera now.. Am looking at the Cannon 450D just looking for one at the right price..

Cheers
Ryan

This place is a wealth of knowledge with enthusiastic people to deliver it! Make sure you buy the body in Australia or no waranteeeeeeeee

Welcome Ryan,
I've had my 450d for about a month and love it, however I would probably consider the body only, or the enthusiasts kit with the 17-85mm USM lens and not the twin lens kit version. Whilst they are good, I am in the process of upgrading my lenses already! I'm looking at the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, but like you just trying to find the right price. And Shaddsi is right make sure you buy local, imports may look inviting and worth it, but any problems later could be a real headache. Good Luck

Neil

Hi Ryan

If you can afford it buy the body and get a separate lens. Don’t forget the EF-S lenses only work on cropped frame bodies, so if you think you might want to go full frame later be careful on what you buy now.
