Hey how are ya,
I am a newbie aswell and have a wedding to do later in the year. It must have been a bit nerve racking.
Anyway, here goes.
First shot, Good idea for photo. With the small number aperture for the photo the main focus needs to be on the hair so perhaps cropping the top third and bottom third would work well. Also try and take out the flashback off the mirror.
Second, My fave. Not really much to improve on here, the back looks a little blown but is ok as it will take away from the security screen. Good shot
Third, Well exposed shot. The only bad thing with this photo is the screen, it draws away your focus from the bride. Perhaps also some cropping of the top of the shot would enhance your image.
All round though your shots are pretty good and I like the soft focus technique you have applied,
Hope I wasn't too harsh though as it is my first time at criticism of any photos on the site.
Later

#2 is deffinately my fave. Although you can still make out the security screen, and it is a little bright, and dark is a little to dark, but editing may be able to fix it a bit. Nice job.

Yep, number 2 is my favourite as well. I'm no espert at wedding photography (in fact, wouldn't call myself an expert in any sort of photography...) but what I CAN tell you is that in the first photo there are several little distracting things that spoiled what could have been a good photo. For example, the light on the ceiling (a crop can fix that) and the equipment on the dressing table. Also, the box thing that you can see clearly in the mirror but it is just popping out of her shoulder in the foreground.
The third shot is a good one as well, except for the screen door. Other than that, that would make a fantastic and meaningful shot. :)
Well done though, great attempts!
BTW - LOVE THE DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
