Hi Everyone,
My wife has just bought me a Sony Alpha 200, previously I had a Canon S1. So the step into the DSLR world is going to prove interesting.

I originally was a School Photographer, but that was many many many moons ago, pre digital world. I use to use the manual setting on the S1 to get some good shots as it had a good optical range, but was rather slow at shooting and focusing. I've only had the Sony for a week, but have been highly impressed with it so far, especially for it's ability to take shots in low light.
Weekend coming up so I guess my wife may not see me. (Hey! was that the plan????).

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and look forward at looking through items and images on this site.

All the Best

Hi DrBob, and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your new A200! There are a few other Taswegian forum members here... and you guys certainly live in a beautiful part of the country as far as history and scenery is concerned.

Looking forward to seeing some of your photographs DrBob.

Got the same camera a few short weeks ago, and love it.

Fast, ease of use & great photos.

I've mainly been taking photos around footy clubs and so far got some great pics

Shhhh! We're trying to keep Tassie a secret! :D Welcome aboard. I don't normally post, but I guess this being Tassie - there's a chance that you could be my next door neighbour or your mum knows my mum or something like that.
