Yet another new Perth member!

Hello all, just a quick intro from W.A, great forum to say the least.

I've been lurking over here for a while and thought I'd better sign up and introduce myself.

A friend recently did a trip to Bangkok so I thought an upgrade from the old Cybershot was well overdue so I put my order in on a Canon Kiss X2 (450D) kit with the standard 18-55mm ef-s lens.

The camera is great, but now I need a degree to understand all the functions so,......here I am.:)

The kit lens is ok for what it is but I'm keen to purchase another one for my young blokes footy pics so no doubt I'll be off to post some questions about lenses so any help at all would be appreciated for sure.

Welcome Colin, I have had my 450d less than 2 weeks and have learnt more on here than I have from the manual! Like you, I am also interested in shooting my son's junior footy career, and will be exploring all lens options.
