This little church is situated in the middle of no where, surrounded by paddocks its quite eerie being there alone...

Hi Amber,

That is a nice effect you have going in this shot.

Its funny how little churches appear in the middle of nowhere... I have seen heaps up here on my m/bike rides...

Nice shot there Snowygal, I like the shadows of the trees bouncing off the wall at the front.

Sorry Amber, but this one doesn't work for me.

Funny how different things appeal to different people. I really love it. It has so much atmosphere and character.

My only comment would be that it seems a little crooked? Like the ground slopes or something. I guess it doesn't when I look, but keeps appearing that way at first glance.

The shot worked for me, then it didn't.

My first reaction was ooh that looks "The Omen" kinda spooky. If you had a small wide eyed boy and a crow in the shot I could've sh** myself!!

But when I looked longer, and had second, third looks etc and the risk of crow inflicted damage subsided, the odd slant on the shot stands out. Kinda like seeing the original Omen movie again, when the maid threw herself off the roof - it didn't seem quite as dramatic the second time.

I think maybe if the roof line in particular was flat it could have the same impact each time you see it. Maybe try a little photoshop rotation to get the roof line flat rather than the ground. Just my 2c of course.

I like the colouring you've going with it though. Not quite B&W, colour or sepia - a mix of all of it. But it's not an 'obvious' adjustment to anything either. C'mon now, we need more details.

hi snowygirl
i also feel the church leaning back good shot tho'

with your monitors try calibrating so laptop is the same as ur pc, adobe has a great monitor calibration which will run on start up and you could match both monitors the same,
I often wonder when posting pics are you guys seeing the same colours as I am, as it depends on monitor calibration but done properly most show very similair results:)

sorry for stealing ur thread amber i shall put a post in tips etc
