I'm new to Digital SLR photography and enjoying reading posts and tutorials and soaking up all there is to lear.

I recently bought a Pentax K100D Super from Big W for $296! The box was damaged but the camera and lens are fine. I was saving for a Canon 450D but as I'm still learning I think this will be fine for now.

I'm learning all I can about DOF at the moment but can't quite put it into practise yet :)

I know for a fact you're not my husband because he can only be found on rugby forums and wouldn't know which end of a camera to use (actually, much like myself at the minute - so far I've left it switched on grrr and took 3 photos before the batteries were dead THEN forgot to put the memory card in:( ).

I am just across the creek in struggle town.

I jumped right in and brought a refurbished Canon 40D body only through E-Bay just before the Aussie dollar took a nose dive. Would like better lenses but I think that has just about stopped my spending spree for now.

I have the 50mm 1.8 but I'm dreaming of the 24-70 2.8.

I can't believe how fast the 40D is next to my old Pentax K100D!
