Hey...this is a shot i took when just wondering around with my p&s camera. At TAFE we currently have an assignment, which is to capture images with good tonal contrast and convert to black and white, and i think this image works quite well...let me know what you think, and CC is welcomed!!

Honestly, the contrast is great, but there is too much wasted space at the bottom of the image that could be cropped off without losing the impact of the image.

cheers...i completely agree, after looking at the image on a larger scale, i can see that the black space is somewhat distracting from the rest of the image!

Very nice. I agree - i would probably crop as far as where the light from the water (?) fades. That way it doesn't loose the dark shadows but isn't lost in that mass of black. Good work!

I could also envisage it flowing out of a frame (there is a special photoshop action I found online to do that but I would never have the need for it!)
