Nice shot, but I would have liked to see it slightly more front on, might have reduced the shadows a little.

You know I say it as it is Tim. I hopeyou take these comments with the good intentions that are meant.
Well I was hoping for better from this one. When you showed it to me in the camera, I thought it was really good. This, to me anyway, has too much contrast and alot of the good light you captured has been lost.
Knowing the image, re-processing , would be worthwhile to try and maintain that light and allow some more detail in the shadows.

Much better PP on that one :)
The second frame to me is definitely the better shot.
More character and depth.

second shot is the same as the first one, i just had to tinker abit with the balances abit more to get the contrast and highlights to come out correctly.
but thanks for the great c&c it really encourages me to get out more and take more shots!

Just looking again I am thinking it might need rotating CCW one degree....

I really like this shot. I wonder what it would look like with a sepia tone?

Wow
I really love this in sepia, I think it makes a fantastic partner to the shot of the lady you took on the same trip.

Yep, IMHO the later version is much better.
I'd use a Perspective Crop top and bottom to straighten the roof line and keep the seat in the same perspective.
