Hello everyone
I'm new to all this forum stuff, but i'll introduce myself and see what happens. I live in Winmalee in the Blue Mountains, not a bad spot, close enough to a lot of great places to photograph.
I was introduced to photography by a photographer friend of mine in Montana. I bought myself a Canon EOS 300D and recently went over to the States to test it out......got some beautiful shots (with the help of my friend). Now i'm back home and i'm a little stuck....photos aren't turning out so good! Hope to get some help here
Sue :)

Hi Sue,

Well I am not sure I will be of much help, but if post some pics there are a few people on here that seem to know what they are doing ;)

Look forward to seeing some of your work :)

Welcome sue !!
I wouldn't worry about yuor shots not turning out so good. I think most people go through the first phase where everything seems to turn out great.. then once you apply some more thought things tend to go a little pear shaped for a while. As you get more skill and confidence things will fall into place!

sue sounds like youre in a perfect spot for practicing!!

Havent been to the Blue Mountains for many years but my recollections of them are wonderful, beautiful scenery.

I take many many pictures to get "the one". I think the harder I think about it the harder it gets LOL. Normally find the ones I get without really trying are the best, where as the staged ones seem to be the ones I have most trouble with.
Good luck it all comes eventually
