I took this photo at a classic air show at Parafield airport, and made it b&w to try and give it a bit of an old feel.
The B+W works well but maybe a wider shot would be good

I agree with Mike, I would have liked to have seen the complete wingspan. The conversion does give it that old feel though.

Thanks for the advice guys.Next time i'll pull my finger out and change to a wider lens (i kinda thought i should have, but at the time it was just hard enough for me to not do it).

I'll be different! I like it as it is. I feel that if more space was given it would end up as an ordinary plane shot, but closing in gives a stronger feel to it.
Maybe it's just me thou seeing old war plane shots all the time as my father was a WW2 RAAF Photographer and has copies of thousands of the photos he took or processed.
Getting back to the photo I also thought it needed a little contrast to boost it. I hope you don't mind.

Maybe even at a different angle, so we can see more of that classic AT6 profile?

No i don't mind at all Jules, and thanks.
I do have some flight shots, but as i don't trust my panning i ran a way to quick shutter speed and froze the prop, as you can see.
