A 'contre jour' shot I took on Wednesday while on a cruise around the cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula.

I knew it would be a bit dark for some, including me, but I thought it needed that approach. When I lightened it a little, it lost the impact.

Yes, like I've said in other posts, I've never been a great fan of the darkest-clouds-I-can-get effect that people put into their photos but it's definitely a great shot and I would like it very much if I didn't have a bad taste for dark clouds. :)

I really like the water effect that you've gotten as well. :)

I thought I was going to miss getting the holes in the rock. They are quite large and as the boat was moving away I was desperayely trying to adjust the camera settings, before the holes disappeared altogether. Just made it!

I suppose my taste differ dramatically from others, I like over exposure and dark pictures. I like very strong colours too. When I paint and draw I like bold colours without subtlety (but appreciate all forms of art and photography) like Dale Frank's art... dunno, I guess I am a bleeding obvious type of girl LOL
