Something on a rock

Hi,

I have no idea what this is, but I rally liked the look of it. Some CC on the photo would be really great. Took the shot in New Zealand with Fuji Finepix S7000

Looks like a species of barnacle with smaller sp of barnacles growing on it.

I have no idea what it is either, but it needs to be more in focus ... the ends of the thing blur out too quickly, if you get what I mean. Also the thing at the top is a bit distracting ... my eyes were straight away drawn to that.

Good photo though otherwise. :)

i agree, the focus is way to soft, it needs to be sharper more crisp! that would set your photo apart from a normal photo and a good photo! but the comcept is great! your just missing the sharper focus and this photo would be excelent!

Thanks again guys. I was purely a holiday snapper back then and the only fiddling i ever did with the camera was to change from colour to B+W!! Hoping to change from happy snapper to photographer!!

Hi Cazzaritch, did you use the 1cm or 10cm macro on the fuji? It should have come up sharper than that for you. Not sure what type of barnicle it is but did you take it near water?

I can't remember now - long time ago! The picture was taken in a beach at a National Park near Auckland.
