Well, we haven't got a Transporatation thread so I'll stick them in here.
These 3 are Hotham valley railway at Pinjarra in WA. First one is ealry morning light up steam; next is on the line to Dwellingup; and then at the road crossing at Dwellingup

Next is the Pemberton Valley tramway steam engine - also south west WA

They are all really nice, the first one and the last one are my favourites.
Have you thought of cropping out the steel looking thing out of the left of the first picture?

I hope you don't mind, but I had a little go with the crop.

What do you think?

I cropped a fair bit out originally but just didn't want to go that tight at the time I did it. Your crop looks Ok, though, thanks.
I love the close up mechanicals ashots. I bumped up the saturation and contrast a bit here to get more oomph in it.

As always Odille, love your work :)
The last one looks a touch OOF on my screen (might not be on someone else's) but awesome nonetheless!

Thanks Analog, I always feel a bit cheeky fiddling with some one elses work as I am such a novice.

You could be right, Mistie. These were taken with my old P&S camera on our trip to WA back in 2004. This was the memorable trip where I accidentally deleted all the photos on the card by pressing the wrong button - and it was full, somthing like 190+ shots! Aargh. That one does look a little soft. It's a pretty brutal crop so I've just missed it, maybe I need new computer glasses.

Like I said, it is only slightly OOF. Maybe running an unsharp mask over it in photoshop would bring it up.
If I had accidentally deleted 190+ shots, I would have cried. Some camera shops are known to be able to retrieve accidentally deleted images... worth keeping in mind for next time ;)

I really like the train snaking through the valley, looks great and also like the mechanicals too.
