Hey Shaddsi, you know I never mind as long as you tell me how you did it!

i used a gradient overlay to darken the sky, added a bit more colour and sharpened it.. thats it..

Cool. Where do i find the gradient overlay?

you create a new layer in photoshop, create a gradient on the screen from black to transparent.. then set the layer to an overlay layer. this acts as a ND Grad filter and cuts the brightness from the top of the photo.. check out some PS tutorials.. they are everywhere on the net!

photoshop will fix things that you dont do when you take the photo, if you take the photo perfect you wont need it.. either way they will both improve your photos :)

I am finding that my gradient filter is really dulling the whole picture? What opacity should I use?
And how did you upthe colour?

change the gradient to the area that you need to have darkened (black = darker) and drop the opacity until it looks good.. then for colour, play with the levels and saturation..
