Just this weekend I have been to a friends wedding and got chance to take some lovely photos which I did. But with these 2 particular photos I had no luck as the sun was just way to bright and did not manage to to keep sun blocked.
Can somebody help me out and tell me how to fix these 2 photo. I would appreciate it very much
Thank you
I will be sending one more post after but with the good photos\
Cheers,
Bambi

hey bambi
it takes allot of guts i think sometimes to stand in front of people and take photos we can place alot of pressure on ourselves trying to get that perfect shot, i know i have and do.
can i suggest that next time you have alook at the surroundings of what you are taking a picture of for example its a real shame the hose is in the second shot because its a really fun picture that is spoilt by not removing it which is a 2 second job also maybe a close crop could remove the busy house wall and pot plants this would be a good start.
i hope this isnt being to hard or rude

Not rude at all.
But actually hose is not the problem i can fix that. I have problem with the sun spot on little boys face and also on the other photo there is a spot on one of the big boys - one on the far right
Just have a look it closely to c what I mean.

And also I haven't tried to fix a photo without removing those burned out spots :) I am just curious how to get rid of them :)

i think you will find the burn out spots on faces very difficult to remove, areas like the grass or dark suits will be easy enough but the little fellows face is not fixable as soon as you start to develop the image you will destroy the pixels that make his face - sorry.
unless someone else can help ???

Part of the issue can be solved in the camera. For example the first photo has that spot because of direct sunlight to the lens. This can be fixed with a lens hood, or if you don't have one handy a hand or a book does the same job.

The second photo has the same issue but not as bad, which is improved simply by you moving.

It depends on the surrondings of course as to where you can move too, but with the second image if you moved a couple more steps to your right, the sun might not of been an issue, but things that have already been pointed out like the hose might of been, but of course they can be moved.

Also i am not sure how you shot, i.e manual or auto mode, but moving the camera down a stop would of brought more detail out of the darken areas. You need to be careful though as caucasion skin should be one stop toward white.

In regards to fixing them now, photoshop cs2 or cs3 is your best bet, but it takes a long time to remove glare off a picture, and sometimes you can't remove it all either.

Hope this helps in some way, and i wasn't rude, as it is my first post on here!

Cheers

Mind if I have a play with them later on today? I have some ideas but I would rather try them before suggesting them.

you'll need a pro to fix those, i am good with photoshop but i won't touch these as there is just too much work involved

Actually I did try pro but image could not be fixed 100% - probably people who don't know much about photography would not notice but I see that little bit of flare on the face. It's just as not as bad as the image he started with. So yeah there was much work involved but with my luck man was kind enough to give it a go with no cost.
And yes Mistie you can give it a go too :) I don't mind at all
