Hello all!
I have been hanging around asking questions and reading posts for a few weeks now!
I have only just started getting active here and loving it! Your all very good photographers and nice people! :p
So here goes my first post with photos, these were taken over a year ago when I first got my Nikon D80, so I like to think I have improved since then, Ill have to get some recent shots up but for now, please tell me what you think of these black and white ones! I found them more pleasing once converted to black and white.

ah, nice work!
the person makes the first one. great depth and the vignetting works well. great bw conversion.
greath depth of field and detail in the second. i rarely see horse photographs that i really like (i have nothing against horses), but this is one of them. the black and white works well again and your focus is spot on. nice! :)

Geez Shani, not much to critique in either photo, both are very good.
If I had to be really picky, the horizon in the first is a little tilted clockwise, but really only minorly.
#2 could be slightly improved by a tiny little bit more depth of field, but really it's much of a muchness. I very much like both of these. :D

I really like the first one, but I think the horse lacks a proper focus point and has very little contrast. I would like to have seen more of the eye, perhaps with a bit of reflection in it.
I think Helen is right about the horizon in the first one, but it's still a great shot.
Nice Shots.
As the others have said, straighten the horizon on the first. If it was me, I probably would try cropping a bit more of the sky out. You might get a slightly better feel of depth and focus on the person.

Thanks again guys, "d" ya I like what you said about the sky I might have a go at cropping it and see if I get a better feel.
And david haha I will try for more reflection next time...he was falling asleep haha, but i agree I should try some more with different focal points maybe.
We shall see!
Thanks everyone for the excellent CC!!! Much appreciated!
