Very angular. I love the contrast of angles of the steps and the railings and how the shadow plays across the steps. The clouds in the background soften the photo and add to the effect. I also think your border compliments the overall picture as well. Sometimes the most candid of shots can turn out to be the best ones. I really like it :)

I like it, but I feel it is missing something but I can't put my finger on it.
Was it shot in monochrome or colour? If it was shot in colour I would love to see the original or a B&W conversion with the sky still blue ;)

I don't know. I don't think it is missing anything. Then again its all a subjective thing. I guess I'm a bit of a sucker for the ol' b&w.

My idea with this shot is the mystery of where it is leading, so the thought of something missing is maybe the right feel!
It was shot in colour, so at your request here it is!

Mind if I play with it?
And you could be right about my thinking it is missing something...
Great conversion though :)

The colour shot is nice but nowhere near as striking as the monocrhome.

Well spotted Jules, I much prefer the mono version, and I might have called it Stairway to Heaven, or is it heading the other way?

I thought of calling it that but thought it a bit 'Kitch'!! As for leading the other way, I think that called for a sunset shot!!!!!!
It was actually leading into the back of a cinema complex.
