Being held on teh Gold Coast from 22 Feb to 05 March 2008.

I have been really busy taking lots of photos, please go and look at my Zenvision gallery (In siggy) so I don't have to repost them here.

I haven't been doing surf photos too long and am thrilled with what I have managed to capture. I seem to be 'getting my eye in' and can't wait until I have saved enopugh money for the Canon 100-400 L IS lens I'm saving for - about mid year, I hope.

Which lens are you using for those?

The 90-300 f4.5-5.6, at 300, of course.

I'm fairly pleased with the shts I'm getting but hope the longer lens will give more detail. Naturally, the finished shots on the gallery are cropped. It depends on how far out the waves are breaking, and which way they are running. When they go south at D'bah I can go out on the rockwall and almost fill the frame, but when they go north I have to get on the beach and there is usually between 1/4 and 1/2 of the frame filled.
