Recently when I visited my hometown - Launceston, Tasmania - we took a trip down to Port Arthur and I went absolutely crazy with the camera, I've just never found such a great oppurtunity to take so many photos.

This photo is of the main structure of the convict development, taken on the cruise coming back from the Isle of the Dead. This was my best shot of about 10 that I managed to take past all the other people in front of me. :)

Hope you like! I'll post more photos from the Tasmanian trip when we've got faster internet in a couple of days. ;)

Claire :)

I went there last September.

Couple of pictures I took using Sony F828.

These are nice, the perspective one is interesting. Not sure if I like that effect or not, but it almost gives me a crick in my neck to look at it, so you're doiung something right!

The light is always good there, I must get to Port Arthur when I go down to visit the rellies, haven't beent here sine the early 90s.

From the water is an interesting idea carrot but I have two suggestions. Watch out for distracting foreground like the boat on the left and watch your exposure settings. What is the swirl in the centre of the photograph?

Thanks Bushanwater. :) The 'swirl' in the centre of the photograph is the copyright/watermark... I probably should have made it a little bit more transparent but I was in a rush.

I love the perspective one, I would be really proud to have taken that.
