i walking down the street during my lunch break from work. i saw this vw karmann ghia parked in front of this house and it seemed to be almost perfectly positioned. i had to get a shot of it.
shot it on fuji superia 200. scanned the negative and adjusted the levels slightly in lightroom.

My all - time favourite car! We have one still waiting to be bought back to her former glory! This is so gorgeous - alas not original colours but gosh looks great against the matching house!
The only thing that I would change if this photo was mine would be to crop harder and clone out the wires - hope you don't mind - I had a little play. Also like it with a vintage wash over the top. (if you do mind, I will delete straight away - just let me know!)

no, i don't mind the changes you made. i like the colours in the 2nd one of your edited.
i don't crop, i frame what i want when i shoot. plus i print my photos at 6x4 or 5x7.5.

Fair enough about cropping - I rarely do either! Just wanted to see what it looked like.
How did you create the second pic Kate? I think it really suits the image.

+1 for the look of the vintage treatment. I thought sepia tone when I first saw the original
Also, always loved that car
I had a play with it in CS5 as well.
I added some vignetting, looks the business.
***BUMP***
Does anyone know how Kate created the edit in the scond vintage looking shot??

I'll have to show my dad this picture. I think it's great. They're one of his favourite cars, alongside a '57 chev. This photo is fantastic. Love the original and the edits. Great eye.
