The shot has potential, but needs some work to make it jump, for me. It's a bit flat in tones. Either Tone map or use Levels to lighten the buildings, buyt if using Levels, you need to boost the blacks to keep contrast. Unless you first select the foreground and not the sky, you will wash out the sky a bit and that will need maybe a little burn brush and maybe saturation as well.

Because of the nature of the shot, it suggest going almost to the surreal to me. I had a play and ended up with very blue foreground. I tried warming it, but in the end I liked the blue effect and maybe even thought about going further. You can get an almost metallic feel that I reckon suits the environment. ALso, if you lighten, brush the vehicles quite dark. They detract from the sheer mass of the buildings.

Thanks Nick, I was looking to do some of the edit's you suggested, but in the end decided this one was just too much work. I had another taken just after that I had a play with, but took in a different direction, trying to bring focus onto the church in the foreground - the second is a crop of the first and I think probably the punchier of the two.

I agree. Nice shots. Actually you could crop that one either as you have, or vertically. Vertical sort of makes the building loom over the church, but it does not chop the tall building off.

Nice treatment of the shot. You were just trying to trap me! :)

Tighter crop =P

Nice work Rob. You have a good eye for urban stuff, angles etc.
Well done.
