View Full Version : Corrugated Iron
Three from three last Sunday before wasting the AM at the market. :)
I definitely prefer the PP'd ones Ian. I like the abstract on the last, plus the first also appeals to me as well.
Thanks Lloyd; these are more or less Lightroom challenges so I learn a bit more. I certainly need to redo the fuel tanks in #1; that's a bit rough looking!!.
I used the neat combo of the old D200 and 24 mm lens for these and the light was just so flat. I might waste some more time on #1 as I can now see more to be done.
I could add these are not a few from lots of photos taken; took less then half a dozen as I'm trying to get away from the blazing away and hoping for the best.
PS: To the other 20 or so lookers; thanks!!!!!!

Interesting mix Ian, I know you like to stretch what is usual and be a little different. I can only assume you are trying to capture and represent your local town and the feel of it. I like #1 for some of the toning you have added but personally on all of these there is nothing in there that grabs me and wants me want to look around it a bit more. I realise you are trying to make the ordinary look extra ordinary and that is not easy, so I commend you on your challenge and keep working on it. I think #3 looks better flipped also :)
Still different mate and different is Good.
Cheers Aus; not sure what trying to capture here; just the corrugated iron I guest as it is and has been used new and second hand in Aust for over 100 years. In the early days it was an easy material to transport but a C I shack is not my idea of a fun place in 40+++ degrees.

Hi Ian,
I love corrugated iron - #2 is my favourite and the processing has improved them. Not sure what sort of lighting suits this subject - I have taken corrugated iron in shadow and I was very happy with the result, but it did have lots of old paint splattered over it.
Good to give it a go.
Cheers
