A couple from a group of shots I took yesterday.
What do you think.

Well, they are different. I like the vivid colours. Probably would prefer the white down pipe wasn't there, but sometimes it is hard to dodge things like down pipes.
As already mentioned the vivid colours are nice. The down pipe was in the way.
Hope you don't mind, but I needed to practice my cloning and cropping skills and came up with these two.

Hey Vic,
No worries about editing them.
I really like what you've done with them.
@farmmax: Thanks, I boosted the saturation and the contrast in post to get the look I was going for as it was an overcast day and the original images were a bit flat.
As far as the downpipe goes I was so busy trying to frame the barb the way I wanted it that I didn't even notice it. And I hadn't really thought about until you mentioned it.
I need to train myself to hunt out distracting elements when positioning my photos.

I never used to notice distracting objects either, but everyone on the forum finds them, so now I'm a lot more careful :) Thank goodness for the forum - it is improving my photographs greatly.

haha - you are right there... Horizons was the big lesson for me (with each and every post) - I still get them crooked in camera but at least now I try to always make sure they are straight before posting...
I prefer the composition of the original first image. Although the downpipe would be better gone I don't feel it's overly detracting in this shot - it's not as obvious as in the second...

Thanks Kaz, That's my favourite of the two also.

I think you've gone too far with saturation and contrast. In my opinion, barbed wire shots look best when they're "real", that is, no boosting of contrast or saturation, but a natural view of it.
Nonetheless, I still like these photos. Good job.

Thanks Frosty, noted for future reference.
