I like the reflections and strong leading lines in this balcony area outside my work office.

Ideally I'd have liked some people sitting on the chairs at the end having a drink and a chat for a point of focus, but not on this day.

I tried a B&W conversion as well... what do you think, Colour, B&W or not really worth the effort?

Colour - no argument. I like the sun reflecting on the sandstone wall.

I will go with black and white, having no-one in the frame adds to the starkness and feeling of barreness in the image. The colour version seems to busy for me, but the black and white leads me straight into the frame to where the people would be, if they werent all missing.

I agree with Wazza, I like the B & W also, and for the same reasons.

B&W, the tones, contrast and clear lines and shapes make it ideal for a B&W photo.

I like both of them. Love the red of the building and the colours in the reflections.

It also suits the b & w same reasons given in previous posts.

for the frame you've got there black and white.

If you were to move in a bit so the sandstone filled the background more colour could be interesting.

Black & White for me. The lines appear much stronger in the b&w and as there isn't much else in the image (sorry but the empty seats at the end don't really work for me and I know you said you would prefer someone at the end too...) I think it was worth the effort at seems to have a lot of strength to me...

B&W for me too. The colour seems to make the focus on the sandstone wall, which is where it seems to drag your eye to, but with the B&W the clean lines and subtle shades of light are the focus, which was what I think you intended.
