A few shots I took in Fremantle, WA, recently. The shot of the cranes was taken yesterday. The graffiti photos were taken last month. I'm only shooting on an Olympus point and shoot at the moment as I'm still saving for my first DSLR. They have all had some post processing work done on them, obviously the two graffiti shots have been worked quite heavily. C&C me. I can take it.

love the composition of the first one! would have liked to have seen more contrast though, and that thing in the bottom left corner is frustrating, but likely unavoidable i'm guessing? just very distracting! the other two are a little too blurry and overexposed for me tastes. well, overexposed in places, and too dark in places :P just my opinion!
on another note, fremantle is looking more and more like a place i will need to visit for some photos, some good stuff around!

Thanks, the thing in the bottom left of the first picture is the tail of a submarine. Unfortunately from where I was taking the shot it was unavoidable, I might have a go at upping the contrast and see how it looks. The other two I went a bit nuts on with the saturation and the contrast. Fremantle is definitely a great place to photograph. I imagine I'll be taking many more photos there.

Agreed.
Maybe also sharpen it a tad too, it has potential :)

First one looks to have a soft filter over it, potentially in post processing? i'd look at the opposite with some sharpening, on the whole I like to think photography is all in the eye of the beholder so depends on what you're going for, but since it's to do with intricacies of a steal frames all over the place the crisper seems the better. Second and third look over exposed, loss of detail in the highlights however it can be used for creative control, generally (i've been told) people accept loss of detail more in underexposed photo's than overexposed, personally I like overexposed shots more when they're well done or clever.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I still had the original image of the cranes so have made some changes to that one but I no longer have the originals for the graffiti photos so I can't play with those anymore. Thanks for the feedback on them all the same though.
I've upped the contrast ten clicks on the cranes and sharpened the image instead of the softening. I've posted them both below so you can have a look. The first one on the left and the new one on the right.

Yeah it would've been great without the submarine but unfortunately it's a decommissioned one so it never moves. Otherwise I would go back and snap another shot while it was out to sea.
