I deliberately pushed the HDR to the max for this gritty subject matter. Looking for that cartoony effect. C&C most welcome.

And one non-HDR for comparison.

Over the top - that's for sure... but I really enjoy viewing them just the same. That's different - black and white hdr - love the way the broken window frames the shot in the first b&w...

nothing against you, but i am just not a fan of HDR for this sorta stuff, much prefer the moody looking sorta stuff you see some people produce :P love the non HDR one though, works much better for me! where is this btw?

No worries bigbird, this sort of thing is I've found generally a love it or hate it ... I swing between whether I prefer the HDR or non HDR B&W myself... they project very different moods for me
Colour ones are a bit to strong but I do like the B+W
where is the servo?

It's northern suburbs of Brisbane - Stafford to be precise on Stafford Rd. :-)

Love them, particularly the first 2.
Time for me to play around some more with these sorts of shots I think!

Works for me.. Unusual maybe, but I probably prefer the B&W versions, due to the texturing involved.

Yep, Stafford Rd, Stafford, not far from Stafford city, but other side of the road.

The first photo is amazing! the black and white work so well with the spot of light on the bin and the shadow of the bin. My jumps straight to the bin first! Great shot!

I really like them, and especially number two. I like HDR stuff, have just never tried it!

I like the way the images build from bare room in B&W to the expansive view from outside in super saturated colour.
Nice set
