I did a wedding the other week and got this shot. He wanted a bouquet like his big sisters, so I picked him a daisy which he carried around for the next hour. So glad a got I great shot of it, he was such a cutie.

Gotta get down low for kids shots. With portraites you ussually need eye contact for them to work.

Great shot, i love it! I also like that you have the daffodil in colour.

Is he on the beach?

Fair enough. Photography is art and we all have differewnt ideas. That's the way it should be, I'm sure i will post images here that i like and others don't. I hope so anyway, would be a boring world if we all agreed.

It's actually concrete! This was taken when the bride was getting ready at a hotel.
I tried to get a shot with the daisy face up which is why I shot from this angle. If I always got down low and got eye contact, every photo would look like PixieFotos!!

I partly agree with bush... it would be better down lower, but eye contact is not necessary.

This picture works because of the charming description that accompanied it - especially for us parents. If it was just on a wall with no 'story', it would be an 'almost' great photo.

Just my $0.02.

Cute photo, I also like the use of selective colour for the daisy, I think the photo works well this way.

the wonderful thing about art in any form is that we are drawn to it.
Talented people are everywhere.
I agree Bushanwater that it would be a very boring world if we all agreed. We all have our fave types of images.
Something will catch my eye because it has presence. I am grabbed by an image if I can see the passion behind the shot! children will always grab my attention and I admire people who can capture the personality of a child in an image. I dont get too caught up in detail - if it grabs me it grabs me. I do however like to hear other points of view. I think we can only learn and develop by asking questions and being open to change and suggestion.
