2001 bushfires and now in 2010

not really the best shots but it shows you the resilience of nature

Great shots fungus!

It’s amazing how it all grows back! Especially after such a devastating effect back to a lush green environment again. I like heading back to a fire affected area within the year and the leaves are growing back on the burnt trunks of the trees

Looks as if you’ve left your camera set up for 9 years in the same spot :)

What's the story behind this .. is it a property near you or was just something you happened to take a photo of in 2001 and went back to have a look or just a fluke ? Also wondering how the heck that vehicle managed to get in amongst all those trees to begin with.

its on the putty road north west of Sydney just past colo

the first pic is after those really really bad fires that hit that area that year

national park / state forest - this is about 30 metres off the road

I meant to go back every year but never got round to it

funnily enough I had a really hard time finding 9 years later - I had given up aand stumbled across it on the way back to the car
