On the 7th of December 2009, Richard Pennicuik, better known as the Thornlie Tree Man, climbed a tree on the front verge of his Perth home
About six years ago when the council first attempted to cut trees down, Richard and a close neighbour stated their case to the City of Gosnells essentially saying they wanted to keep their trees.

I harnessed up and went up tree mans home in the tree lol!!!

Got up there and was asked " you ever absailed"? I said why? I was then told thats how you get down lol. I had to learn quick how to absail and i have never shat so much lol!
