Hi David, truth to tell, as a taswegian, born and bred, I've never been within the grounds of Govt. House. I think had I been shooting this I would have got closer to eliminate the fence that sort of denies visual access to the building, like, "Proceed no further". As a general rule, I always avoid placing a fence between the camera and the subject - shooting monkeys through chain wire is a good example. That said, it is a nice shot under favorable lighting.

You got my intentio straight off, I wuld normally not put a fence in the shot either (If at all possible). I wanted to give the impression that this is not a building publicaly accessible all the time.
